SAFARIS TO UGANDA - Murchinson Falls Safari
Day 1 to 3 Depart Kampala for Nile Camp/Paraa
Depart Kampala in the morning stopping at Masindi for lunch. Visit the top of the dramatic Murchison Falls, crashing through a narrow gorge. Brief game viewing in the evening and return to Nile Camp/Paraa.
Spend the second day in the park. Game viewing north of the Nile, where over 76 mammal species have been recorded, including spotted hyena, patas monkey, and leopard. Later take a launch trip from Paraa to the bottom of the mighty frothy falls, passing through one of the most compelling stretches of the Nile, fringed by borassus palms, acacias, and stands of mahogany. Game viewing along the river is stunning, with some of the largest crocodiles left in Africa, hippos, elephants and birds, including the rare shoebill stork, basking on the banks of the Nile.
On the third morning you visit the savannah plains, north of the river that make up the delta circuit, formed by the Victoria Nile as it flows into Lake Albert. It is one of the principal areas for game drives and bird watching, known for its giraffe herds. Several prides of lion feast on the abundant herds of Ugandan kob. During the heat of the day relax at your lodge. Return to the camp after an evening game drive.
Day 4 Return to Kampala

An early start. Leave for Pabidi in Budongo Forest for a guided nature walk to track chimpanzees. Locating the chimps is easier between May and August as fruit is more readily available. Return to Kampala.
